Big Apple Donuts @ Subang Parade

2 04 2008

Big apple is in town!! Where? Subang Parade of course.Last Saturday, i went to Subang Parade wif my frens and to my surprise there was the Big Apple Donuts & Coffee shop. It was located at the central part of Subang Parade just beside the atm machine and Tropicana Life. LG20L to be exact.

The irony was on that particular day i was craving to have a bite of Big Apple donuts as my KL frens kept saying it tastes great and i should really try it. Believe me it is still new and it just opened early february this year. Remembering what my colleagues just said so i went there and started queuing. The queue was rather long and i said to myself that this better be worth it.

Luckily the service was fast and when it reached my turn i asked for a box of 6 pieces, it costs me RM 9.50. There was a variety of donuts to pick from and it all looked delicious. I made my pick which was : Californian Almond, Choreo, Chocoholic, Green Teaser, Kimochi and Whitnut. There was also the Predator donut that day and its probably for a limited time only(it was not on the menu).. but is a pity they don have my fav flovors that is peppermint :) .

After tasting the donuts myself, i must say that it is a MUST try for all the donut lovers out there!!. But for me, I still love JCo.. maybe they have all my taste dere.. keke

Saba Shiyaki & Taufu @ Sakae Sushi at The Curve

2 04 2008

I’ve been wanting to try out this place since it opened in the Curve but for some reason I never got round to actually doing so. Finally, I managed to drag my frens to have dinner with me here to check out the food and place.

Like most Japanese restaurants, Sakae Sushi has the conveyer belt that serves little colourful plates of sushi. Their prices range from RM1.90 to RM5.90 per plate. There was this nice eggroll sushi we had – it has soft shell crab inside and was wrapped with egg. Cant remember the name but it was yummy!

Ordering is also a breeze here. Every table is equipped with a monitor and a mouse so all you have to do is choose what do you want to order and then when it’s cooked, they’ll send it to you. There is also a hot water tap at each table. This is when you order green tea – they’ll give you a cup and a teabag of green tea and you can refill whenever you want.

i had the Saba Shiyaki & Taufu (cant remember what they called the taufu) which consists of a bowl of rice, miso soup, lightly fried fish & deep fried tofu in soy sauce. Price : RM18.90

The food here is good and quite reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Pavilion Shopping Mall, a mall which is totally new to me. It’s located in the city of Kuala Lumpur, and at the same time, located at the area which have the worst traffic!! And Madam Kwan is located at the basement of the mall.

- Madam Kwan nasi Lemak-

Nasi Lemak (RM 14.20) is one of the specialty of Mdm Kwan. In fact most of the customer who walked into their restaurant will order this. The fluffy coconut flavoured rice is aromatic, served with thick and creamy curry chicken, sambal and egg.. great choice to choose from since they are so famous with it. And everytime i am in KL, it is a must to go to madam Kwan
